Nashville, TN (August 20, 2012) – Larry Black, host and creator of TV’s programs “Larry’s Country Diner” and “Country’s Family Reunion” is pleased to announce he, along with cast members of the hit TV shows, will hit the road for a series of appearances to be held throughout September and October at The Starlite Theatre (located at 3115 W. Hwy 76) in Branson, MO. The series will kick off September 4 – 6 with Gene Watson and Moe Bandy, followed by Jimmy Fortune with award-winning bluegrass duo Dailey & Vincent on September 7 and 8. These announced shows will be emceed by lovable host Larry Black. The series will continue through October 21 with additional acts and cast members to be announced in coming weeks.
Black’s highly popular shows, which air weekly on RFD-TV, pull an estimated 1.4 million viewers each and every month and continue to grow in popularity, giving rise to a successful line of “Larry’s Country Diner” merchandise and an annual cruise that has sold out for the second consecutive year. Gene Watson is most famous for his hits “Love in the Hot Afternoon,” “Fourteen Carat Mind” and his signature song “Farewell Party.” He has amassed six number one hits, twenty-three top ten and over 75 charted singles in his stellar career.
Moe Bandy is a Branson favorite known for such hits as “Bandy the Rodeo Clown,” “Hank Williams You Wrote My Life,” and “Barstool Mountain.” Moe has had ten number one hits, forty top ten and sixty-six chart hits along with five Gold Albums, ACM Song of the Year, and ACM and CMA Duet of the Year.
Jimmy Fortune toured, sang and performed with the legendary Statler Brothers for twenty-one years. Jimmy wrote the number-one hits “Elizabeth,” “My Only Love” and “Too Much On My Heart.” As a member of the Statler Brothers, Jimmy is a member of the Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame and the Country Music Association Hall of Fame.
Bluegrass favorites Dailey & Vincent have won thirteen awards from the International Bluegrass Music Association and twenty-three awards from The Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America. In 2011 they received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal, and won the 2011 Dove Award for Best Bluegrass Album with “Singing From The heart.”
