Country Thunder Named 'Festival of the Year' by the Academy of Country Music for the 50th ACM Awards

Country Thunder Sells Outs with the Biggest Year to Date – Record-Setting Crowd of Over 27,500, Beautiful Weather & Luke Bryan!
FLORENCE, Ariz. (April 12, 2015) – The Country Thunder Nation has another year under their belt. With a record sell-out of over 27,500, who wouldn’t want to renew their experience for next year? Thousands of sun-kissed fans soaked in gorgeous weather and performances by the most talented performers in Country music. The finale began with Cowboy Church, a service given by local pastor, Randy Helm involving local mustangs trained by his team at BLM. The night ended with a high-energy, booty-shakin’ performance by one of Country music’s biggest stars, Luke Bryan. The reigning CMA ‘Entertainer of the Year’ and ACM co-host performed hit after hit, including “That's My Kind of Night,” “Country Girl (Shake It for Me),” “Roller Coaster” and many more. Other performances included Dustin Lynch, who incited massive swooning from the ladies in the audience, John Michael Montgomery, Love and Theft and Logan Mize. This year’s festival offered more onsite entertainment than ever before. Attractions included the Jack Daniel’s Courtyard, which showcased the hottest local talent, the sling shot, hot air balloon rides, mechanical bull rides, food and retail vendors and Electric Thunder, which featured theme parties for the first time, including throwback beach bash, neon rage, foam disco and more.
The end of the 2015 festival is just the beginning for Country Thunder organizers. Plans for 2016 are already well underway, with a huge line-up announcement coming later this year at KMLE Country Thunder Launchfest. TWIN LAKES, WI (March 12, 2015) – On the heels of being named ‘Festival of the Year’ at the 44th annual IEBA (International Entertainment Buyers Association) conference, Country Thunder is once again being recognized by entertainment industry professionals. Country Thunder, now in its 23rd year in Twin Lakes, Wis., is nominated for ‘Festival of the Year’ at the 50th Academy of Country Music Awards. The ACM Industry Awards are voted on by the Academy's professional members. The categories honor the behind-the-scenes industry professionals and venues who contribute so much to the artistry, success and longevity of country music. Industry Award and Studio Recording Award honorees will be feted at the 9th Annual ACM Honors event on Sept. 1 at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn.
