FLORENCE, Ariz. (April 10, 2014) – The desert was hot, but Country Thunder was hotter today in Florence, Ariz., with a record-setting audience of over 24,000 cowboy boot-wearin’ and country music-lovin’ fans. Thompson Square, Will Hoge, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Ryan Bexley and Chad Brownlee kicked off the party of the year on the main stage and blew fans away with hit after hit. And it’s not just the award-winning, top-notch music from country’s biggest and brightest stars that keeps people coming back year after year. Ticket holders also enjoyed the Jack Daniel’s Experience, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that brought a taste of the much-loved distillery from Lynchburg, Tenn., to Florence, Ariz, the Denim and Diamonds on-site bar, over 18 food vendors and nearly three dozen retail vendors. After the lights of the main stage went dark, festival goers made their way to Electric Thunder, whose lights could be seen miles away. The 40,000 sqft vintage circus tent is packed with more lighting production than the main stage; including a 25' tall DJ booth with a complete video wall, 5,000 bulb lights where DJ Du was spinning into the wee hours of the morning. And this is just the first day of what is sure to be the most exciting and memorable Country Thunder to date!

FLORENCE, Ariz. (March 4, 2014) – Each year, tens of thousands of music fans migrate to Florence, Ariz. for the extremely popular lifestyle and music festival, Country Thunder. Overnight, an instant city arises boasting a larger population than most neighboring towns. Country Thunder has partnered with Right Away Disposal, a locally owned and operated (Apache Junction) Waste and Recycling provider, in an effort to not only reduce the amount of waste generated by the festival, but to minimize the event’s footprint on the environment.
Recycling stations and solar-powered trash compactors will be placed throughout the festival grounds in high traffic areas. Right Away Disposal will also be handing out biodegradable recycling bags to campers upon entry. As an added bonus, each time a camper checks in a bag of recyclables, their name will be entered in a drawing to win a free campsite for 2015, courtesy of Right Away Disposal.
