FLORENCE, Ariz. (March 4, 2014) – Each year, tens of thousands of music fans migrate to Florence, Ariz. for the extremely popular lifestyle and music festival, Country Thunder. Overnight, an instant city arises boasting a larger population than most neighboring towns. Country Thunder has partnered with Right Away Disposal, a locally owned and operated (Apache Junction) Waste and Recycling provider, in an effort to not only reduce the amount of waste generated by the festival, but to minimize the event’s footprint on the environment.
Recycling stations and solar-powered trash compactors will be placed throughout the festival grounds in high traffic areas. Right Away Disposal will also be handing out biodegradable recycling bags to campers upon entry. As an added bonus, each time a camper checks in a bag of recyclables, their name will be entered in a drawing to win a free campsite for 2015, courtesy of Right Away Disposal.
